Our 23-Day Antarctica Adventure is an exciting "once in a liftime" experience that combines our "Escape to Ushuia Adventure" with an 11-day (10-night) cruise to the Antarctic Peninsula aboard a 5-Star luxury expedition ship. This is the first time a motorcycle tour to "The End of the World" actually includes a cruise to the end of the world!

Riders begin their adventure in Bariloche, Argentian and will ride through the beautiful Argentina Lakes and Volcano district, Patagonia, and Tierra del Fuego on their way to Ushuaia - the southernmost settlement in the world. After arriving in Ushuaia, riders will board ship for a spectacular 11-day (10-night) cruise to the Antarctic Peninsula.

Alternatively, riders may begin their Adventure with the Antarctica cruise, followed by the ride back to Bariloche. Whether taking our southbound or our northbound version of this Adventure, riders may opt to incorporate a Bariloche Adventure Center Holiday onto the beginning or end of their Antarctica Adventure to extend their South American holiday a bit more.

This Adventure is not an "expedition". Almost all of the route is paved and the hundred or so kilometers which is not paved is hard-packed gravel that is in good condition. The trip is very suitable for two-up riding. Non-riding companions who may not wish to make the entire trip by motorcycle may fly to Ushuaia to join us for the Antarctica cruise and return home upon completion of the cruise.

Attractions of this special Adventure include:

• Bariloche, Argentina - one of the most popular vacation destinations in Argentina.
• A two-night stay in El Calafate, the point of departure for a day trip to the Perito Moreno Glacier.
• A two night stay in Torres del Paine National Park - South America's most popular national park.
• Puerto San Julian, where the name "Patagonia" came to be while Magellan and his crew spent the winter in the town's harbor in 1520. Sir Francis Drake, Charles Darwin and Francisco de Viedma have also visited this interesting town.
• Ushuaia - One of the world's most exotic motorcycling destinations - the southernmost settlement in the world.
• ANTARCTICA! - A luxury cruise to the Antarctic Peninsula

While enjoying the company of fellow motorcyclists during the cruise to/from Antarctica riders will enjoy all of the amenities of a forst-class cruise experience. We'll sail through scenic waterways and witness a breathtaking panorama of icebergs, blue glaciers, and jagged, snowcapped mountains. Aboard the ship’s fleet of Zodiacs, we'll cruise among ice floes, land at penguin rookeries, and visit with scientists at research stations. Although the itinerary varies according to local ice and wind conditions, we plan to land at such places as Petermann Island, where humpback and minke whales are often sighted offshore; Paradise Bay, the habitat of gentoo and chinstrap penguins and leopard and Weddell seals; and Deception Island, known for its volcanically heated hot springs. Voyages through the magnificent Lemaire, Neumayer, Errata, and other protected channels are also scheduled.

Even while underway, we'll be able to spot the occasional whales and seabirds, and enjoy onboard lectures and the amenities of our 5-Star luxury expedition ship as we make our 600-mile voyage between Ushuaia and the Antarctic Peninsula.

The base price for the Antarctica Adventure for a rider sharing accommodations is $19,500. The cost for a co-rider is $16,500. These charges include all lodging costs, all breakfasts and dinners during the land portion of the trip, and all meals (including alcoholic beverages) during the Antarctica cruise. The cost includes the "E Cabin Class" on the Clelia II, which is a deluxe suite on the Ariadne or Leto Deck with a window and sitting area and 215 sq. ft. of space (partially obstructed view).
